How to run GPU.net Validator Nodes | Powered by NodeOps

GPU.net is engineered to revolutionize the landscape of decentralized computing power, offering a robust and scalable solution for a wide range of computational needs.

You can deploy these validator nodes with NodeOps by following the below instructions; Step 1 - Creating SS58 Address - Link for visual representation

1. Add Polkadot{.js} Extension to Chrome Browser:

- Visit Polkadot.js Extension

- Click "Download for Chrome" > Add to Chrome > Add Extension

- Go to Extensions > Pin the extension.

2. Create an Account:

- Open the extension.

- Provide a name and password for your account.

- Click "Add the account with the generated seed."

Step 2 - Adding the Validator Node - Link for visual representation

To become a validator on GAN Chain, you need two wallets:

- H160 Wallet (holds the NFT bought in the Node Sale).

- SS58 Wallet (created in Step 1).

Login to the dashboard at GPU.net Dashboard with your H160 wallet.

- After connecting your wallet, choose to be a Validator and fill in the SS58 address in the pop-up.

Step 3 - Adding the SS58 account to explorer - Link for visual representation

Initial Connection with explorer:

1. Visit GANScan Block Explorer

2. A pop-up will ask for account connection—select all checkboxes and click Connect Accounts.

3. You can now see your Polkadot{.js} extension accounts under Accounts > Accounts.

4. Update metadata if you receive a prompt:

- Go to Settings > Metadata

- Click Update Metadata and confirm with "Yes, do this metadata update." Step 4 - Deploy Nodes on NodeOps Dashboard

Visit NodeOps Console.

Select:

- Node Type

- Number of Nodes

- Duration to run the nodes.

- Proceed to payment.

Step 5 - Accessing NodeFolio

- Navigate to NodeFolio.

- Click on the node, and you will see the "Show Session Key” option on the right-hand side.

Step 6 - Adding Validator in GPU.net Dashboard

1. Copy the session key and click Add Validator Here to be redirected to the GPU.net Dashboard.

Step 7 - Add Validator in Explorer - Link for Visual Representation

1. Select the option to add a validator (Validator with the "+" symbol).

2. In the pop-up:

- Select your account (SS58 created earlier).

- Enter a staking amount (minimum: 100 GPoints).

3. In the "keys from rotateKeys" section, paste the session key from Step 5.

4. Click Bond & Validate and then Sign & Submit. Step 8 - Check NodeFolio on NodeOps Dashboard

Note: After this process, your validator will be visible in the pending validators section. Rewards will start accruing after the next era (1 Era = 24 hours).
